She's here!

After months of pregnancy and a few hours of labor (Cherish says I should change it to 'many hours' or 'several hours'), our daughter arrived! Her name is Alaina Elise Davis. She was 6 lbs. 8 oz. Cherish ended up having to be induced because her blood pressure was too high. They waited until she was 37 weeks along for the induction. Mom and baby are both doing fantastic (of course they are it's almost 2 months later now as I'm posting this). Here are some pictures to celebrate her arrival.

Welcome to the world Alaina!
(This is her first picture without an oxygen mask.
That's my mom's hand holding her. The nurses were tending to Cherish.)
Guess who didn't just have a baby or just get squished while being born?
(Hint: It's the one who's smiling the biggest.)
The flower is from an arrangement that I bought for Cherish.
Thanks to Tiffer and Dan for letting us use their premie clothes.
Doesn't she just look cute in them?

The happy new family ready to head home from the hospital
(well, I guess the ones not in a carseat are happy)
